Cartoon Series (8th)

In the 8th bundle of the Cartoon Series, 'Mengkkong-i Seodang Village School' by Yoon Seung-woon and 'Wogdoggle Dugdoggle' by Hwang Mi-na are introduced. For a first in Korea, this Cartoon Series features the "Find the Hidden Picture", bringing more fun to the postage stamp.

The students in the Mengkkong-i Seodang Village School are rascals and troublemakers who absolutely hate studying. However, whenever the village schoolmaster tells stories on the leading figures from the Joseon Kingdom, the students become totally engrossed. The historical tales that may easily become boring are retold in such an interesting way as if a grandfather were telling stories of days gone by. The cartoon was featured for eight years from 1982 in the monthly children's magazine called 'Treasure Island'. Yoon Seung-woon who has drawn cartoon for children as well as historical cartoons received the Korea Cartoon Culture Award in 1991 with this cartoon series.
