Hometown Special - Incheon
Chamseongdan is the altar where Dangun, the legendary founding father of the Korean nation, is said to have performed a ritual to heaven. The lower column of the altar is round, symbolizing heaven while the upper column is square taking the shape of the earth. Every year, the sacred flames for the National Sports Festival are lit here.
