Hometown Special - Jeju (Che-ju-do)
On Jeju Island which had no beggars, thieves nor gates, Jeongnang took the place of gates. The placing of the logs of the Jeongnang informed visitors whether the master of the house was in and was used to block the entry of horses and cattle.
