| Description | ||||
| The PHILAKOREA 2002 World Stamp Exhibition will be held during ten days from Aug. 2 to Aug. 11, 2002 at Seoul's COEX Complex (Pacific Hall and Indian Hall).
The annual Korea Philatelic Exhibition (KORPEX) will be replaced by the PHILAKOREA 2002 World Stamp Exhibition this year. Delegates from more than 150 nations will participate in the exhibition where over 3,500 frames of stamps will be displayed. Various events are planned including performances targeting all age brackets and where children in particular will get the opportunity to learn about and enjoy stamps firsthand. Also, in line with the issuance of the Hometown Special Stamps, the publicity halls for local governments will be operated where various special performances of the region will be held daily. Stamps have a spcial place in our hearts much like a childhood friend. Visitors to the PHILAKOREA 2002 World Stamp Exhibition can expect new encounters with the various unique philatelic cultures of the world. People from all over the world will gather to celebrate PHILAKOREA with feverish enthusiasm as hot as the summer heat. |
