The Sword of Fire by Kim Hye-rin
Ara, a young girl of the Amur tribe living in the mountains saves the life of a young man named Garahan (Sanmaro) who suffers from amnesia and falls in love with him. However, after the Karmaki tribe attacks the village, they become separated. Garahan regains his memory but forgets about Ara but Ara goes through many hardships to find Garahan. She makes an iron sword for Garahan. This cartoon that depicts feuds among tribes and love between a man and a woman in an ancient setting, was designated as "Today's Cartoon for the Second Half of 2002". The cartoon was carried in the bi-weekly cartoon magazine "Denggi" in 1992 and was later published as an independent volume. The story is planned for completion this year.
