The stamps depict the mushrooms growing in Korea.
3 won stamp: Pholiota flammans
Its height is 2-6cm.The cap and color of its stem is light brwon. The top part is covered with sulfur scales. The gills are narrow, and the stem is crooked. Growing in the area of Unhung County, Ryanggang Province, it sprouts on the rotten part and stump of the needleleaved tree in summer and autumn.
12 won stamp : Geastrum fimbriatum
Its light yellow-brown spore is round. The grown-up mushroom is pink and its stock looks like a reversed oval. Growing around Mts. Myohyang and Kumgang and in Kaesong, it lives in groups in fallen leaves and humus in forests in autumn.
70 won stamp : Coprinus atramentarius
The cap is 4-5cm high, its stock is 8-13cm long and 0.8-1.0cm in diameter. The oval spore is deep brown, the face of its cap is grey and looks like a fiber of silk thread. During spring and autumn it comes out in groups in the fertile land. It is spread in Mts. Myohyang, Oga and Kumgang.
130 won stamp : Pleurotus cornucopiae
The top part is round, crescent, or of other various shapes, its color is yellow-white and the gills is grey. The stock is ramified and its color is white or yellow. The oval spore is purple. It is artificially cultivated for eating.
250 souvenir sheet : Elfvingia applanata
Its color is golden yellow or grey, and rim is characterized by white colour. The oval spore is brwon. Sprouting on the dead oak, birch, elm and black walnut trees, it is used for treating cancer and stopping hemorrhage.
