Description
This third packet of postage stamps in the Traditional Dye Plants Series introduces the pine, pomegranate, walnut, and amur maple trees.

Pine Tree (Pinus densiflora Siebold et Zuccarini).
The pine tree, found throughout the Korean Peninsula, is an evergreen needle-leaf tree with reddish brown bark on the upper part of the trunk. Flowers blossom in May bearing fruits from September to October. Reddish brown dye can be extracted from the inner bark of the tree.
