Description
This third packet of postage stamps in the Traditional Dye Plants Series introduces the pine, pomegranate, walnut, and amur maple trees.

Walnut Tree (Juglans regia Linnaeus).
The walnut tree, planted in villages in mid-southern regions of Korea, is a deciduous tree that grows to around 20 meters tall and its bark is light gray. Flowers blossom between April and May producing fruits between September and October. Brown dye can be obtained from the bark of the tree.
