A world-shaking event took place on December 16, Juche 48(1959)-the ship carrying the first group of Korean nationals who returning to their socialist motherland arrived in the DPRK.

Since then, Korean nationals in Japan began to return to their motherland and they are enjoying a new life in the motherland.

The repatriation, a national right of Korean resident in Japan, was a great victory of the movement of overseas Koreans led by President Kim 11 Sung and a historical event widely called "exodus of a nation from capitalism to socialism".
