Gardenia jasminoides Ellis for grandiflora Makino
This evergreen shrub is usually planted in the southern region and grows to about 4 meters tall. A blossom of white flower blooms one by one at the end of its stem from June to July. Long oval-shaped fruits ripen in the color of orange from September to October. Yellow dye is acquired from its fruits.
