Taxus cuspidata Sieb. et Zucc.
This evergreen arbor grows in the forests of high mountains. It stands approximately 17 meters high and is about 1 meter in diameter. Flowers blossom in April and red fruits ripen between August and September. Reddish brown dyes with a violet tinge can be gained from the heartwood of the tree i.e. inside its stem.
