Description
The fifth series on Korean orchids introduces Epipactis thunbergii A. Gray, Cymbidium goeringii Reichb. fil, Cephalanthera erecta (Thunb.) BL., and Spiranthes sinensis (Pers.) Ames. This series will be issued as aromatic stamps carrying the scent of orchids.

Cephalanthera erecta (Thunb.) BL.
A perennial which lives in the shaded areas of woods and grows to 20-30 cm in height. During May and June, a number of white flowers bloom at the end of its stem, bearing fruit in July. Its white flowers give it the name “silver orchid”. The orchid inhabits the islands of Jejudo and Ulleungdo and the mid and southern parts of the nation.
