| Description | ||||
|
Four years ago, we were all deeply touched by the card section formed by the Red Devils that read "dreams come true." When the mammoth Taegeukgi (the national flag of Korea) was unfolded in the stadium, we were filled with pride of being Koreans. When the Korean football team displayed the "can do" confidence and a strong fighting spirit, all Korean people responded by pouring out to the streets, shouting "Dae~hanminkuk." We wrought a miracle and surprised the entire world.
Now, we anxiously await another miracle. We wish for yet another legend to be created by the football team who, perhaps not necessarily the best team will give all their efforts, as well as by the Korean people who will unite as one in cheering for the Korean team. Anticipating a stellar performance by the Korean team in the 2006 German World Cup, a new postage stamp featuring its 23 members and its manager, Dick Advocaat, will be issued. The official emblem of the 2006 German World Cup overlapped onto a Taegeukgi design, this stamp will be an item of interest for collectors. The 70 million Korean people will all become Red Devils and collectively brace for yet another astonishing performance by the Korean team |
