July 1, 2007: Fish

The stamps reflecting several species of fish were issued.
15 won stamp: Naso lituratus.
   It is distributed in the Pacific and the tropical sea. Its body length is about 30 cms. It has the beautiful body and two symmetrically long fins at the tail part.
50 won stamp: Carassius auratus.
   It is an omnivorous hot-water fish whose body length is about 10 to 40 cms. It looks like putting on the red hat on the head, It is popular among gold fish for its ornamental use.
110 won stamp: A. citrinellus V. synspilum.
   As a hybrid, it lives in the river. Its body length is about 30 cms. It has special mouth shape.
200 won stamp: Symphysodon discus
   It is distributed in the Amazon river in South America. Its life span is about 3 to 5 years. It makes a pair and spawns in the breeding season. The fry feed on the mucus from the mother fish.
