The SCOTT Stamp Catalogue attempts to list and assign stamp numbers in chronological order for commemorative
stamps; except that, it tends to group "Series of stamps" at the first year of issue. It also, periodically
lists "definitive stamps" and any respective "Coil stamps", by a group of stamp numbers (SCOTT calls them,
"Blocks of numbers") inserted about every five-years of issue.
Souviner Sheets, are normally assigned a minor-suffix of "a", to the stamp number assigned.
The 2007 SCOTT Catalogue stops listing South Korean stamps after the Korean Orchid Series (5th Issue),
issued Nov. 11, 2005. Scott# 2210a-d, was assigned. The 2008 SCOTT Catalogue stops listing South Korean stamps after the
Celebrated Mountains of Korea Series (3rd Issue), issued Nov. 16, 2006. Scott# 2236a-d, was assigned
The 2008 SCOTT Catalogue published the following Scott# changes, on page 1510,
for DPRK. There were no changes for Korea or South Korea.
