New Stamps Issued

Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- A kind of individual stamp was brought out in commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the "250-mile Journey for Learning" covered by President Kim Il Sung.

Printed on the upper part of the stamp are the letters "In Commemoration of the 85th Anniversary of 250-mile Journey for Learning" and "Juche 12 (1923)-Juche 97 (2008)".

It reflects the historical course from Phophyong to Mangyongdae, his native place, covered by the President who left Badaogou of China across the Amnok River with a great ambition in his early years.
Seen in the stamp are the pictures of his native home in Mangyongdae, the locomotive used by him from Kaechon to Pyongyang, the Phophyong Revolutionary Tower and the mark of the "250-mile Journey for Learning" exploring party.

School youth and children of the DPRK annually hold the "250-mile Journey for Learning" exploring march to bear the lofty intention of President Kim Il Sung deep in their minds and to have a firm will and strong physical strength.
