Comprising the second installment of the Korean Film Series (2nd), four representative movies produced after Korea's liberation from Japanese colonial rule until the 1960s are introduced.

A Coachman (Mabu)
The story of this movie involves a coachman who lives with his four children and makes his livelihood by drawing a horse. The coachman comes to relish a new hope when he gets tired of his hard life, as his son passes the Higher Civil Service Examination. The movie, on the back of the outstanding acting of Kim Seung-Ho, who plays the father뭩 role, received Silver Bear Extraordinary Jury Prize at the 11th Berlin Film Festival. The movie was directed by Kang Dae-Jin, and featured such actors as Kim Seung-Ho, Shin Young-Kyun, Hwang Jung-seun, etc. It was produced in 1961 by Hwaseong Film Co., Ltd.
