Description
While our military troops are fighting in Vietnam to help the Vietnamese defend freedom against the communist aggression, a nation-wide campaign is going on to assist their dependents, bereaved families and the war-wounded back home. As part of this national movement, the Government will issue a stamp with 3-won surcharge on the regular postage rate, 7-won to raise a fund for this assistance program.

The surcharged stamp will be on sale at the post office throughout the country from June 20 through October 19. The money donated through the sale of this surcharged stamp will not only provide a permanent fund for the dependents and the war-wounded but also will greatly help to build the morale of our officers and men fighting in Vietnam, through rendering them the heart-warming love of fellow countrymen. In issuing the surcharged stamp, we expect that all the people will willingly extend their full support and cooperation for this fund-raising campaign.
