The World Anti-Communist League will hold its historical first conference in
Taipei, free China, from September 25 through September 29. The WACL was first proposed by the
Republic of Korea as an universal organization to lead the world-wide anti-communist movement and the
proposal was unanimously adopted during the 12th meeting of the Asian Peoples` Anti-Communist League
held in Seoul October, 1966. Drawing its charter on April 1 this year, the WACL was formally
inaugurated on June 1, with a standing secretariat office set up in Seoul.
The World Anti-Communists League comprises 27 member nations including the Republic of Korea and 21 observer countries. The organization is primarily intended to esteem the dignity of an individual human being, to smash the evil communist forces and to carry out the sacred mission to liberate the oppressed nations under the communist rule. Besides, the WACL will rally the free peoples in checking and condemning the vicious and brutal actions of the communists against the humanity. The WACL, the sole organization of the world anti-communists, will lead the crusade against the communists with a renewed determination and solid unity of the world anti-communists, greatly conftributing to achieving peace and security of the world. |
