Description
As the year nears its end, we reflect back once again upon what we have done and what we have failed to do in this year and draw up a new year plan with hopeful dreams for a better new life. At this time, we also come to recall the memories of dear ones - our family and old friends. We visit them who are living in neighboring land and write new year greetings wishing a new year of happiness and welfare to those who are far away from us. New Year! Let it be another opportunity to try another chance to realize our wishs and dreams.

We make a good resolution to work harder in the new year, in order to lead a life more worthwhile. Let`s pray together that our long-standing dreams may come into reality in the new year: May the new year bring us the reunification of our land! May the new year bring freedom to our fellow countrymen in the North who are groaning under the communistic oppression! May we all be blessed with happiness and love, burying our remorses and sorrow in the past.

According to the Zodiac of lunar calendar, the year 1968 will be the year of a monkey. The Ministry of Communications will issue two new year stamps, one with a design of a monkey, the symbol of the year 1968, and the other featuring children spining a top, representing a peaceful scenery.
