The 2nd EATA Conference (East Asia Travel Association) is due to be held in Seoul
for five days, that is, from April 9th to the 13th.
The EATA with its seven memberships, which consists of KOREA, REPUBLIC OF CHINA, HONG KONG, JAPAN,
MACAO, PHILIPPINES and THAILAND, was founded on the 28th February, 1966, at it`s first Tokyo
Conference, for the common cause of tourism`s promotion in the Asian countries through programmed
publicity campaign and exchange of necessary informations among it`s member-countries. At the coming
Conference in Seoul, some seventy and odds of delegates and observers from member-countries are
expected to attend in order to exchange views and opinions on general tourist industry as well as to
study their common interests, such as how to cooperate each other with their utmost efficiency for the
satisfactory promotion of industry.
The Ministry of Communications, now on this occasion, presents to the public the commemorative postage stamps for the purpose of celebration of this historical event, welcoming the delegations of member-countries, as well as to solicit the sight loving people for this land of morning calm and beauty. |
