Description
A 20-won denomination postage stamp, a second photo-gravure stamp of this country, will be issued on June 1, which depicts an antique celadonic vase with mosaic designs of cloud and a stork. This vase is a product of 12th to 13th century turned out in Kangjin and Puan area.

Designated as national cultural treasure No. 341, this was a discovery in the later days and the gourd-shaped vase, 34.4 cm high and 16 cm in diameter, is decorated with white mosaic designs of hovering cloud and a stork in the upper part and a peony in the lower part. One of the most fine work of the Korean ceramics, the vase displays the excellent artistic talent and the ceramic techniques of our ancestors, which cease to be passed down no longer.
