The year 1969 is closing in our mixed feeling of pride and regret, and we are
greeting a New Year, the beginning year of the decade of the 1970s, which will promise us fruition of
our effort toward the national modernization. With the old year out and the new year coming in, we are
reflecting back on the year we are passing.
Internally, we have completed a strong defense system while we have achieved brilliant economic progress, under the government policy slogan of "build-up of national defense and construction of economy". Internationally, we have also elevated the position of our country in the world by stepping up international activities and by promoting closer cooperation with other free countries in a changing world. We are confident that the 1970s will bring us a life full of hope and prosperity, and the Ministry of Communications issues two New Year greeting`s stamps in gravure print. |
