The daily growing mail volumes has made it difficult to handle all the mails fast and effectively without introducing automatic method. Therefore the postal administration of Korea has launched out a drive to modernize the mailing facilities and streamline the postal management with introducing the modern techniques and system from the advanced countries. The indoor conveying system has been completed at Seoul Central Post Office as a first step of the mechanization program and it will be put into operation beginning on July 1, 1970.
