He was elected by a unanimous vote in the voting held by the National Conference for Unification in accordance with the Revitalizing Reform Constitution which aims at planting and fostering a democracy most suitable to meet nation`s realities and needs so as to attain national stability, prosperity and peaceful unification. With his competent and dynamic leadership, President Park is to spearhead the nation's endeavor to achieve our ardent aspirations of national stability, prosperity for all the people, and peaceful unification, by organizing and consolidating national strength and maximizing efficiency in all fields of our national life.
