| Description | ||||
|
The Ministry of Communications is issuing these two postage stamps as the first part of a
series featuring 10 kinds of fruits grown in Korea.
2. Berries: There are two major kinds of berries: strawberry and raspberry. Strawberries grow on a perennial plant of the rose family. The stem running underground has three small leaves. A cluster of five to six white blossoms comes out at the tip of the stem in May to June. Rich in vitamin C, strawberries and raspberries are used to make jelly or jam. |
