Description
The Ministry of Communications is issuing these two postage stamps as the second part of a series featuring 10 kinds of fruits grown in Korea.

1. Peach: This fruit grows on a small tree known as prunus persica. The tree, which has lanceolate leaves that grow alternately, stands about three meters high. White and pink flowers are borne on the naked twigs of the tree in April. The round juicy fruit, with a fuzzy skin and a single, rough pit, ripens in July through August. The flesh of the fruit is edible. The kernal is used as a medicine.
