| Description | ||||
| Tangerine: This citrus fruit with a juicy pulp is borne by a two-to-four-meter-high evergreen tree of the rue family. Its white, fragrant, five-petaled blossoms bloom in early summer. The rind of this globose berry turns reddish yellow as the fruit ripens in early winter. The fruit tastes sweet and sour and yet slightly bitter. In Korea, only Cheju-do, the southern island province, produces this fruit. Its skin, called ""chongpi"" when dried while it is green and ""chipi"" when dried after it is ripe, is used as a medicine. | ||||
