Description
The 14th World jamboree is to be held from July 29 through August 7,1975, at a site close to the city of Lillehammer, some 200kilometer(120miles) north of Oslo, the capital of Norway.

The World Jamboree is a World-wide gathering of boy scouts, which is held once every four years for the promotion of World peace and international comity and friendship. About 17,500 boy scouts and Scouters form 109 countries of the World are expected to attend the forth-coming Jamboree for the training of body and mind, under the motto, " Five Fingers-one Hand" in their common effort to enhance mutual understanding and friendship.

Another feature of the 14th World Jamboree, as a short name for which "Nordjamb-75" has been adopted, is that the five Nordic countries-Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden-are co-sponsoring the event although the Jamboree camp site is in Norway.

A delegation of 34 Scouts and 6 Scouters will represent the Republic of Korea at the Jamboree, contributing a great deal to the enhancement of the prestige of our fatherland.

The Ministry of Communications is issuing these commemorative postage Stamps in the hope that the Boy Scout movement will further bear glorious fruit in the education and training of the growing youths of our country, so that they can better serve their country and communities.
