| On the 15th of August, 1945, all the people of Korea shouted cheers with overwhelming joy and delight, celebrating to their hearts content, the liberation of their fatherland from alien rule.
Even today, 30 years after the regaining of our sovereignty after 36 years of oppression and disgrace, the joy and excitement of that historic moment refreshes our memory. Look at the vigorous and proud advancement we have continued to achieve ever since! Remarkable progress and development are being made in the reconstruction of our National territory. We will continue to exert ourselves with might and main, recalling the delight and joy of our liberation, for the eventual achievement of our long-cherished hope for reunification and reconstruction of our fatherland. In observance of the 30th anniversary of liberation, the Ministry of Communications issues commemorative Stamps in an effort for renewing our pride and determination, trying to demonstrate the new image of advancing Korea to all the countries around the globe. |
