| Description | ||||
| We are now on the threshold of the year 1976, the year of dragon according to the Oriental zodiac, full of hope and joy.
Traditionally, around this time of year, we tend to become emotional and meditative over the year that is about to pass by, at the same time being filled with joy and new hopes as we prepare to greet the New Year which is dawning. In greeting the new year, we visit our relatives and friends, wishing a happy new year with one another. And we exchange cards of New Year's greetings with those who live far away from us and whom we have not met or corresponded with very often. Thus, both the recipients and senders of the cards, alike, are soaked in a joy for meeting another new year. The Ministry of Communications is issuing two kinds of postage stamps, wishing all a prosperous and successful new year, at the same time in the hope that these new stamps will help make more joyous and merry the hearts of both the senders and recipients of new year mail. |
