| The year 1984 marks the centennial of KOREAN postal administration. In commemoration of this occasion, the International Philatelic Exhibition, PHILAKOREA 84 is held Seoul from October 22 through 31, 1984.
The Ministry of Communications has, therefore, decided to issue a series of postage stamps designed to show the past and present states of the Korean postal service. The series stamps will be issued in five installments, ending next year. The following two are the first of the series: 1. General Bureau of Postal Administration Building. 2. Seoul Central Post Office Building. |
