Description
The 14th Asian Advertising Congress is held in Seoul for four days, June 18-21, 1984.

Since the first congress was held in Tokyo in August 1958, the biennial meeting has been held in major cities in Asia and this is the first congress held in Seoul. The Asian Advertising Congress, largest in scale and greatest in authority of any such organization in the Asian advertising and communication industries, is also recognized throughout the world.

The 14th Congress is expected to have over 1,000 delegates from Western countries as well as practically all the countries of Asia and the Middle East. The theme for this congress is "Advertising-Helping Asia Grow", and the specific subjects for discussion will include: how advertising as a marketing communication can contribute to economic growth; social resposibility and regulation on advertising; and studies for specializing the advertising industry. It is expected that this congress will provide an opportunity to exchange information among countries, and seek for a turning point in the development of the advertising industry.

The Ministry of Communications issues this stamp in commemoration of the 14th Asian Advertising opportunity to the development of the national economy and culture.
