| The second Seoul Internatioal Trade Fair '84 (SITRA '84) will be held for 30 days, from September 18 through October 17, 1984, at the Seoul Internatioal Trade Fair Grounds.
Three hundred foreign exhibitors and over 700 domestic companies are expected to participate in the Fair, and the exhibits will include a broad range of industrial and commercial products. In addition, a wide array of cultural activities and national celebrations of the exhibiting countries will be conducted in conjunction with SITRA '84. It is hoped that the Fair will contribute to promoting the spirit of free trade throughout the world in a time of rising economic nationalism and protectionism. By hosting SITRA '84, Korea will reaffirm its determination to continue to open up its domestic market to foreign imports, as it has since 1978. The Ministry of Communications issues this commemorative stamp in recognition of the significance of SITRA '84 in furthering world trade and cementing friendly relations among the peoples of all the exhibiting countries. |
