| President and Mrs Chun Doo Hwan make an officail visit to the United States April 24 at the invitiation of President Ronald Reagan. During the visit President Chun will have summit talks with President Reagan. The Presidents will discuss matters of mutual interest, exchanging their views on the developments in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia. The talks will also include a wide-ranging discussion of other international affairs.
This visit by President Chun, which is his second one as President and made at the beginning of President Reagan's second term in office, is expected to serve as an occasion to mature partnership between the two countries by further strengthening the better than ever relations that already exist. The Ministry of Communications issues this commemorative stamp in the belief that this visit to the United States by President Chun will bring about better cooperation between the two countries, for common prosperity, mutual understanding, and world peace. |
