| AMERIPEX '86, an international philatlic exhibition, is held at the O'Hare Exposition Center in Chicago, May 22-June 1,1986, in commemoration of the centennial of the American Philatelic Society.
The 8th international philatelic exhibition that has been held in the United States, AMERIPEX'86 is expected to show about 3,500 frames of world-famous philatelic works. We participate in the exhibition with one oficial class collection, consisting of recent postage stamps, and one competitive class work. At the exhibition, the Ministry of Communications will set up the Booth of the Republic of Korea, where introduction of our culture and public relations work for the "86 Asian Games" and the "88 Olympiad" through our postage stamps, will be carried out. The Ministry of Communications issued these postage stamps in commemoration of its participation in AMERIPEX-86, and also for the promotion of its work at the Booth of the Republic of Korea. |
