| Description | ||||
| Korea's modern art started with the introduction of western painting at the beginning of the century. Though it served as a form of resistance during Japan's colonial rule of Korea, it is now firmly taking root as our own art, our traditional art is that it expresses traditional Korean naturalism in a new way, breaking away ideality by adopting realistic approaches.
The Modern Art Series production, which started last year, will continue over a few year period. The following four are the third in the series: 3. Image of a friend, by "Seoeon", Ku bon-wung (1906-1953). |
