The Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros, located between the Continent of Africa and the island of Madagascar, consists of the four islands Grande Comore, Moheli, Anjouan and Mayotte. It has a per capita national income of 240 dollars, has Islam as the state religion, which about 86 percent of the population believe in, uses French and Arabic as the official languages, and produces among other things spicery and sugar.
