| Description | ||||
| With the Seoul Olympiad only about 100 days away and the enthusiasm of people all over the world heightening day by day, the Ministry of Communications issues two kinds of postage stamps featuring the "Olympic Stadium", and the relaying of the "Olympic Torch" respectively.
It is especially to be noticed, that as a symbol of the spiritual bridge between the ancient and modern Games, Korea issues the "Olympic Torch" postage stamp simultaneously with Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics, which also issues one of the same kind. It is our sincere hope that these particular stamps simultaneously issued by the two countries, will meet with the special affection of all the philatelists of the world. |
