| As a culturual event celebrating the 1988 Seoul Olympics, "OLYMPHILEX'88", will be held at the International Exhibition Center (KOEX), Seoul, September 19-28, 1988.
The exhibition, held under the patronage of IOC and FIPO and with the auspices of FIP, is the world's biggest single postage stamp show ever held, displaying more than 1,400 frames of philatelic art, of sports submitted from all over the world. The Ministry of Communications issues this commemorativ postage stamp, in our expectation that "OLYMPHILEX'88" will serve to promote friendship and understanding among all the philatelists of the world, beyond their national or ideological differences. |
