| The institution of the Constitutional Court, provided by the newly amended Constitution, is of historical significance to the nation as its last stronghold for the defense of the constitution and the fundamental rights of the people.
The new institution, with an extensive and powerful function of reviewing laws and legislation, is empowered to remedy any violation of the people's rights that may be committed by the government in the course of exercising public power. On this occasion of the first anniversary of the birth of the Constitution Court, the Ministry of Communications issues this postage stamp, expecting the court to perform its historic mission to the full. |
