| Description | ||||
| Rose of Sharon has become Korea's National flower naturally through the long existence in the korean peninsula and is now in full blossom with the mounmental accomplishments of 88 Seoul Olympics and with the powerful jump toward the developed country. These wonderful works make us look back with full emotion to the past when our ancestor freely romed across the vast land of Manchuria.
According to "Go Mun Ju" and "San Hae Kyung", and ancient chinese literature, the Mugunghwa had already been founded throughout the Korean Peninsula since the middle of the fourth century. Unlike the other countries' National flowers, the Mugunghwa is very useful for our living; the cases of being used as the material for pulp and the curing aid for gastroenteric trouble, and the garden flowers and the fences. The stem of the mugunghwa is about 2m-4m long. The Ministry of Communications issues two kinds of stamps of "Hwarang" and "Nimbora", in the context hat the love for National flower and the reconsideration of its spirit are absolutely needed for us to seek the right way to overcome the snowballing trade deficit and the drastic increase of the National individualism. |
