| Description | ||||
| The Korean characteristic drive for a high standard in education, and our nation s brilliant knowledge in science and technology, will be the propelling force towards enrolling Korea as one of the advanced nations of science and technology in 1992.
Observations of the 24 solar terms through the movement of the stars,as seen from "chomsongdae" and "Kwanchondae" can be indicated as our initial preparation for this interest. With the inheritance of our ancestor's spirit of inquiry, we need to implant Korean spirit in the universe by accelerating the creation of a domestically produced satellite.
Looking bock at the past record of effort by Korea, the Ministry of communications issues the Postage Stamp depicting an artificial satellite in the hope that many brilliant scientists like Dr. Woo Jang-choon, who had a great accomplishment in the field of breeding, will appear in the fields of high tech science like aviation and space, so that we will be able to contribute to the enhancement of National prestige and the betterment of people's welfare. |
