Barcelona city, is well known as the city of "Art" represented by many famous painters such as Piccaso, Dali, Miro, etc. It is a historical city of 2000 years, located on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. With a mix of historical relics of Rome, Arab and Greece, this city shows us the cultural harmony between the East and the West.

The size of this Olympiad, which will unfold for 16 days from July 25 to August 9, 1992, will be the biggest one including the players from 180 participant countries and tourists estimated to be 300,000 attending. Moreover, the mascot "COBI" (the symbolic feature of the dog watching a flock of sheep) of this game will protect our collaboration and prosperity with familiar looks, with "COBI" watching for the "Harmony and Progress" which was accomplished by the "88 Seoul Olympiad."
