1.Waesomdari (Leontopodium japonicum Miq.).
This perennial plant grows in grass or from cracks in rocks in alpine regions of the central northern provinces of Korea. Between July & October the light gray colored flowers bloom in clusters surrounded by a petal-like calyx covered with white tomentum. Reaching up to 30cm, the stem grows close together in bundles and has needle shaped leaves. 2.Ggotgwisoni (Geranium eriostemon var. megalanthum Nakai).
This perennial plant can be found in high mountainous regions in China and northern provinces of Korea. The reddish purple flower, 3-4cm in diameter, with ovate petals, are in bloom in July and August. It has saw-toothed leaves which are divided into five parts and bears fruits which ripens in October.

3. Gaesangsahwa (Lycoris aurea Herb.).
This perennial plant is native to Korea's southern provinces. The surface of the stem is dark brown and the back sides of the linear shaped leaves are milky white. The stem supports 5 to 10 golden colored flowers which bloom in July and August and have thread-like styles and greatly protruding stamens.
