| Description | ||||
| On October 16, 1995, when postal rates changed, the Ministry of Information and Communication issued three new definitive postage stamps: one with a denomination of 400 won for priority mail (issued on Oct. 16), another with a denomination of 1,050 won for non-priority registered mail, and the last with a denomination of 1,300 won for registered mail.
The non-priority 1,050-won definitive postage stamp will keep the existing celadon pitcher design with a change in the backgraound color. The celdon picher is a type of kettle made in the early half of the 21th century and is modeled after four pomegranates in two layers like weights. It stands 18.4cm high with a diameter of 17.5cm and a spout diameter of 3.4cm. The body of the kettle is jade green in color with white dots, added to enhance the vessel's likeness to the pomergranates. The handle of the kettle resemble a curved pomegranate branch, and the spout is shaped like the fruit. |
