| Description | ||||
| According to the change of domestic postal rates on September 1, 1997, the Ministry of Information and Communication is issuing four new definitive postage stamps. The first is for 140 won for ordinary postcards, another is for 260won, the basic rate for pieces of nonstandard ordinary mail weighing less than 50g, another is for 1,170 won, the basic rate for registered ordinary mail weighing less than 25g, and the last is for 1,190 won, the basic rate for registered ordinary mail weighing less than 50g.
The 260 won definitive stamp for nonstandard ordinary mail weighing less 50g retains the Little Tern design which graced the existing 180 won and 210 won definitive stamps, with changes only to the denomination and the background color. |
