| Description | ||||
| According to the change of domestic postal rates on September 1, 1997, the Ministry of Information and Communication is issuing four new definitive postage stamps. The first is for 140 won for ordinary postcards, another is for 260won, the basic rate for pieces of nonstandard ordinary mail weighing less than 50g, another is for 1,170 won, the basic rate for registered ordinary mail weighing less than 25g, and the last is for 1,190 won, the basic rate for registered ordinary mail weighing less than 50g.
The definitive stamp for 1,190 won, the basic rate for registered ordinary mail weighing less than 50g, retains the existing design of the Celadon Pomegranate-shaped Wine Pot with Flowers Painted in White, which graced the 930 won and 1,050 won definitive stamps for registered ordinary mail. Only the denomination and the background color are changed. |
