We have been issuing special stamps annually of rare and endangered animal and plant species in an effort to encourage the public to join in the drive to protect them.

Korean Leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis).
The leopard of the big cat family is usually found in montane forests. The Korean leopards have slightly larger structures than the leopards in southern Asia and Africa. Korean leopards are reported to have vaninshed from the southern half of Korea, and only a few scattered individuals are said to remain in the North.
