Description
Mushrooms can be classified into poisonous, edible, and unknown varieties. Unknown mushrooms are those whose chemical profiles are not known, flesh is thin and not worth eating, or too small to eat. This year, the last collection of the mushroom series stamps features four unknown species of mushrooms: Pseukdocolus schellenbergiae, Cyptotrama asprata, Laccaria vinaceoavellanea, and Phallus rugulosus.

Cyptotrama asprata.
With its thorn-like hair on the surface, Cyptotrama asprata looks as if it is wearing a fur coat. This mushroom belongs to the "Cyptotrama genus" of the "Tricholomataceae Family. It is cinnamon-colored, and its cap is convex. It is usually found in summer on logs or fallen branches of broad leaved trees.
